We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Behaviour Support Assistant to join a warm and inclusive primary school in Kettering, where you'll play a key role in helping a child grow in confidence, thrive in the classroom, and feel safe and supported every step of the way.

 Position: 1:1 Behaviour Support Assistant

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Kettering

About the Role:

This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with one child on a one-to-one basis, offering consistent emotional and behavioural support throughout the school day. You’ll work hand-in-hand with teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals to put effective strategies in place, helping the child succeed both socially and academically.

Every day, you’ll help build confidence, encourage positive choices, and be a steady, trusted presence in their school life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one behavioural and emotional support to a specific pupil

• Help implement and adapt behaviour intervention plans

• Support emotional regulation and promote positive social interactions

• Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and parents/carers

• Create a safe, consistent, and structured environment where the child can flourish

About You:

• Experience working with children with behavioural or emotional needs (essential)

• Calm, patient, and resilient in the face of challenging behaviour

• Skilled in building trust and using positive behaviour approaches
