Role: 5-Axis CNC Miller Setter

Location: Hinckley, Leicestershire

Salary: £38,500 – £43,000 per year

Hours: Monday – Thursday | 08:00 – 16:30 Friday | 08:00 – 15:30 (Early Finish)

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

The Duties:

• Set and operate 5‑Axis CNC milling machines in a precision engineering environment
• Machine complex components to extremely tight tolerances
• Work with a variety of materials including aluminium, stainless steel, Inconel, titanium, and exotic alloys
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, models, and technical documentation
• Conduct in‑process inspections using micrometers, verniers, height gauges, and other precision measuring tools
• Adhere to 5S standards and maintain a clean, well‑organised work area
• Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and quality inspectors to ensure parts meet specification

The Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a CNC Miller Setter
• Experience with 5‑Axis milling is essential
• Strong understanding of CNC controls (Fanuc, Siemens, Mazak, or Heidenhain)
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work independently
• Reliability, good communication skills, and a positive attitude
