7.5 Tonne Driver & Warehouse Operative

Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Pay: £15 per hour

We are looking for a reliable and proactive 7.5 Tonne Driver & Warehouse Operative to join our team in Kettering.
This dual role requires a flexible individual who is equally comfortable on the road making deliveries as they are working within the warehouse. When driving duties are light, you'll be expected to support our warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

Driving:

• Safely and efficiently operate a 7.5-tonne vehicle for the delivery of goods to various locations.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
• Ensure all delivery paperwork is completed accurately and returned.
• Adhere to all road transport legislation and company policies.
• Maintain a high standard of customer service during deliveries.

Warehouse:

• Assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles, both manually and using equipment.
• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch.
• Receive, check, and store incoming goods.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
• Assist with stock checks and inventory management as required.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely (e.g., pallet trucks) as trained.

Requirements:

• Valid UK driving licence with Category C1 entitlement.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Proven experience as a 7.5-tonne driver.
• Previous experience in a warehouse environment is highly desirable.
• Good geographical knowledge of Kettering and surrounding areas.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items safely.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive attitude and a flexible approach to work.
• Reliable, punctual, and highly organised.
