Account Manager – Sheet Metal Fabrication

Location: Leicester
Salary: £50,000
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:00am – 4:00pm, Friday 7:00am – 12:00pm (early finish)

About the Company

Our client is a long-established and growing sheet metal fabrication business based in Leicester. Supplying precision-engineered parts to a wide range of industries, they are investing in people and technology to strengthen their team. Due to continued success, they now seek an experienced Account Manager with both customer relationship expertise and hands-on knowledge of JobPack production scheduling software.

The Role

As Account Manager, you’ll act as the vital link between customers and the production team. You’ll manage and grow key accounts, provide accurate updates using JobPack, and ensure customer expectations are not only met but exceeded. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys combining customer service with a technical understanding of how jobs flow through a busy sheet metal workshop.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop existing customer accounts within the sheet metal sector

• Use JobPack (or similar software) to track orders, lead times, and production progress

• Communicate accurate job status, quotations, and delivery schedules to customers

• Liaise closely with the production team to resolve issues and maintain smooth workflow

• Deliver excellent customer service and build long-term partnerships

• Identify and act on opportunities for account growth and upselling

About You

• Proven experience as an Account Manager (or similar role) within manufacturing, sheet metal, or engineering

• Strong working knowledge of JobPack (or similar systems: Epicor, MIE Trak Pro, JobBOSS, E2)

• Confident communicator – able to work effectively with both customers and production teams

• Organised, proactive, and commercially aware

• Based within commutable distance of Leicester
