Job Description:

This is an excellent opportunity for an Accountant to play a key role within this Manufacturing business. Based in Leicester, the role requires someone who is at the latter stages of their ACCA or CIMA qualifications with experience preparing month end accounts.

The company operates within the manufacturing sector and is recognised as a medium-sized business. Please note, this role is 5 days on site.

Description

The Accountant's duties will include:

• Preparing and submitting timely monthly accounts, including monthly reviews, various journal entries and corrections.
• Reconciling balance sheet accounts.
• Assist in the preparation & submission of accurate and timely VAT returns.
• Assist in the preparation of year-end statutory financial accounts.
• Any ad hoc duties as required.

Profile

A successful Accountant should have:

• Be at the latter stages of their ACCA/CIMA qualification.
• Proven experience in financial reporting and analysis within the manufacturing sector.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
• A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for financial improvements.
