Accounts Assistant Location: Leicester - Office based (with flexibility once competent)
Hours: 25–30 hours per week (Monday–Friday, ideally school hours)
Salary: £30,000–£34,000 pro-rata DOE

Accounts Assistant position, perfect for someone who enjoys a mix of finance and admin work, thrives in a busy but supportive environment, and is looking for part-time hours, particularly during the school day.
The role is varied and will involve everything from processing insurer and supplier payments to managing credit control, plus some light office administration. It’s a great opportunity for someone who wants to hit the ground running and grow into the position over time.
The Role You’ll be supporting the accounts function across all departments and taking ownership of key day-to-day finance tasks. The position is part-time (25–30 hours per week) with potential to grow into a full-time role in the future, particularly if you’d like to develop into insurance administration.
Key Responsibilities- Processing insurer payments and managing the client account
- Supplier payments and basic credit control
- Data entry into QuickBooks
- Using Acturis to manage finance-related tasks (experience highly beneficial)
- Assisting with management accounts in the future
- General office duties including stationery orders, incoming post, and occasional ad-hoc tasks (e.g. placing online orders)
- Speaking with clients over the phone regarding account queries
- Providing support across multiple teams as needed
About You- Previous office and/or accountancy experience (insurance experience a bonus)
- Acturis experience would be ideal
- AAT qualification would be great but not essential
- Comfortable speaking with clients over the phone
- Able to learn quickly and work with minimal supervision once trained
- Proactive, flexible, and happy to get stuck in
