Adhesive Manufacturing Technologist

Job Description:

Talentmark are recruiting for an Adhesive Manufacturing Technologist to join an Adhesive Tape manufacturing company at their site based in Leicester on a full time, permanent basis for a salary ranging from £38,000 - £43,000 per annum.
 
The Company: A Leading and well-established UK-based manufacturer of a wide range of Adhesive Tapes. Working hours are 36¼ hours, Monday – Friday (8.30 am – 5 pm) with 1¼ hours for lunch, with a flexi-time option.
 
Location:
The Adhesive Manufacturing Technologist will be based at the company's site in Leicester, also commutable from Nottingham, Derby, Coventry and surrounding areas.
 
Adhesive Manufacturing Technologist Role:
Your main duties will include:

• Evaluating, qualifying and conducting studies on project ideas.
• Leading projects in line with defined processes, assessing risks and mitigating these.
• Visiting customers, suppliers and end users.
• Being one step ahead of technological advances and legislative changes in adhesives and tape manufacture .
• Being one step ahead of market trends and competitors to identify gaps in the company's product range.
• Working with the company's marketing team to launch new products.
• Supporting commercial staff with responding to customer queries and technical questions.

 
Your Background:
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills and experience:

• BSc, MSci or MChem degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science or Adhesive Science.
• Excellent knowledge of Pressure-Sensitive Adhesives and Adhesive Tape Technology.
• Extensive experience with Manufacturing Processes.
• Excellent and demonstrable Cross-Functional Communication, at all levels.
• Experience with Project Management and leading cross-functional teams.
• Minimum 2 years' experience with New Product Development (NPD) or New Product Introduction (NPI).
• Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle.
