We are seeking a full-time passionate, dynamic and imaginative Art Teacher to join a dedicated team at an inclusive and thriving Secondary School in Coventry. This is a fantastic long-term opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who can inspire young people to unlock their creativity and develop their artistic confidence. You will be teaching across Key Stage 3 and 4 (KS5 is advantageous).

Your New Role:

Art and Design plays a vital role in the school’s curriculum, fostering creativity, innovation and cultural appreciation. As a Teacher here, you will:

• Inspire curiosity and nurture a love for art in students of all abilities
• Guide learners in exploring a variety of media, techniques and art forms
• Encourage critical thinking, self-expression and visual communication
• Celebrate diversity by drawing upon both traditional and contemporary influences
• Support students in building strong portfolios, achieving excellent outcomes and expressing their individuality through their work
• Assess the progress of students, ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed
• Create an inclusive classroom environment that follows the school’s behaviour policy
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents/carers to support student progress and wellbeing

Ideal Candidate:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching Art & Design at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable) in a school setting
• Read the DfE ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ (2025 document)
• A creative, adaptable and inspirational teaching style

Vetting Checks:

• Right to Work in the UK (No Limitations)
• Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service (Child/Child & Adult Workforce)
• Reference checks covering the last 2 years of employment or education
