Assistant Accountant

Job Description:

Assistant Accountant (Part-Qualified ACCA) | NG4, Nottingham| £32,000 - £35,000 | Full-Time | Fully Onsite

Astute Recruitment are pleased to be working with our client, an established and growing business, who are looking to expand their team with the addition of an experienced Assistant Accountant.

This is a full-time, fully onsite position based in the NG4 area of Nottingham. It’s a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Accountant who is looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and forward-thinking team.

The successful Assistant Accountant will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and supporting the full accounting process from bookkeeping through to final accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day bookkeeping and reconciliations
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns
• Management accounts and month-end processes
• Year-end accounts preparation and supporting working papers
• Use of accounting systems including Sage 50, QuickBooks, Xero, and Excel

Requirements:

• Part-qualified ACCA (or AAT qualified with ACCA in progress)
• Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within practice
• Strong working knowledge of cloud and desktop-based accounting software
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Confident, professional communication skills
