Job Title: Assistant Estimator

Location: Derbyshire

Salary: c. £35,000 - £40,000

Sector: Facades

• Are you an estimator with a background in new build construction?
• Would you enjoy a role with a specialist in supply and install façade contracts?

You will be joining a specialist facades contractor backed by a larger turn-key contracting group. As specialists in supply and install façade works, you can expect support and mentor-ship from highly experienced colleagues. You will work closely with an experienced estimator and commercial director.

We are looking for candidates who have estimating and pricing experience in steelwork, facades, LGSF, curtain walling, timber frame or other specialist structural systems. Candidates will need to live in a commutable distance to Derby.

Offering hybrid working arrangements, you can also expect a vibrant office environment where the commercial teams of both the build and facades teams work. You will be surrounded by experienced pre-construction and commercial colleagues, making this an excellent destination for candidates seeking to build on their career in estimating.

The Role:

• Review drawings and tender documentation
• Assist in quantifying materials and labour requirements
• Liaise with sub-contractor supply chain and source quotes
• Develop bid submissions and schedules for pricing alongside the team
• Ensure cost database is maintained along with supplier details
• Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings

The successful candidate will receive:

• £35,000 - £40,000 salary
