Job Title: Junior/Assistant Management Accountant

Salary: £30,000 per annum

Location: Derby (Hybrid working - 2 days from home)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Gleeson Recruitment are working with a client based in Derby that are looking for a Junior Management Accountant to join their growing team. This role is newly created and perfect for someone looking to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Support with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Process accruals, prepayments, and journal entries
• Prepare financial reports and provide insights to support decision-making
• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and month-end procedures
• Work closely with other departments to gather financial data
• Support in identifying process improvements and efficiencies
• Provide ad hoc support to the Finance Manager and wider team

About You

• Part-qualified or studying towards ACCA/CIMA/AAT
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial systems
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Eagerness to learn and grow within a finance function
