Description

• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Support the reconciliation of accounts, including bank and supplier statements.
• Maintain accurate records for accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Contribute to the preparation of budgets and forecasts for the department.
• Assist with VAT returns and other regulatory compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline financial processes and systems.
• Provide administrative support to the accounting and finance department as needed.
• Participate in ad hoc projects and tasks to support the organisation's financial goals.

Profile

A successful Assistant Management Accountant should have:

• A strong foundation in accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and spreadsheets.
• Experience in month end and management accounts duties.
• An eye for detail and a focus on accuracy in financial reporting.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
• Studying towards CIMA / ACCA or recently completed AAT Level 4.
• Relevant qualifications or progress towards an accounting certification (study support available).
• The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
