Assistant Management Accountant

Job Description:

Salary: £30,000 - £32,500
Contract: Permanent / Full-Time

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to develop their skills in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Working closely with the wider finance team, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting month‑end processes, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the department.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Support month‑end processes including accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Produce regular financial reports and analysis for internal stakeholders
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
• Maintain accurate financial records and support audit processes
• Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the finance function
• Provide ad‑hoc financial support as required

The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised, and eager to grow within a dynamic finance team. You'll bring strong numerical skills, solid attention to detail, and a positive attitude towards learning.

Essential skills and experience:

• Part‑qualified or actively studying AAT/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent)
• Previous experience in a finance or accounts role
• Good understanding of accounting principles
• Strong Excel skills and ability to work with financial systems
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
• Experience within a similar management accounts support role
• Exposure to budgeting/forecasting processes
