The Assistant Production Manager role:

The Assistant Production Manager will play a critical role in supporting and overseeing the day-to-day production activities, with responsibility across the preparation, main build, and test stages. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, proven production management experience, and hands-on switchgear testing knowledge.

What you’ll need to join us as an Assistant Production Manager:

• Experience in a production management or supervisory role.

• Electrical background – ideally time-served or qualified in electrical engineering.

• Strong understanding of LV switchgear systems and components.

• Hands-on experience with electrical testing procedures and equipment.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

• Strong organisational and communication skills.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and ERP/MRP systems.

Desirable

• HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.

• Knowledge of ISO quality systems and health & safety regulations.

• Experience in a make-to-order or bespoke manufacturing environment.
