Assistant Site Manager – New Build - Commercial Project
Duration: 5 Months
Start Date: March 

The Role

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client who requires an experienced Assistant Site Manager to help oversee a new build commercial construction project for a 5-month project. The successful candidate will help take responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of the site and all on-site activities
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors and direct labour
• Ensure works are carried out in line with drawings, specifications, and programme
• Maintain high standards of health & safety, including site inductions and RAMS
• Monitor progress and report regularly to the Project Manager
• Manage site logistics, deliveries, and access
• Ensure quality control and resolve any on-site issues
• Maintain accurate site records and documentation
• Drive the programme to meet project milestones and deadlines

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on new build commercial projects
• Strong leadership and organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple trades and tight programmes
• SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and First Aid certificates essential
• Strong communication skills and proactive approach
