Associate/Associate Director
Leicester
£50,000 – £65,000
Aztrum are pleased to be partnering with a well-established and design-led Architectural practice based in Leicester, who are looking to appoint an experienced Associate/Associate Director to play a key role in the continued growth and direction of the studio.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level architect with strong leadership skills and a passion for high-quality design to take on a strategic and hands-on position within a collaborative practice, delivering projects across sectors including education, industrial, and residential.
Key Responsibilities for this Associate/Associate Director role:
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams from concept through to completion across all RIBA Work Stages
- Review, produce, and coordinate high-quality technical and design information throughout the project lifecycle
- Act as a key client liaison, managing and fostering strong relationships with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities
- Provide mentorship and support to team members, encouraging collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence
- Have strategic input into the wider direction and development of the office and practice
- Conduct site visits and represent the studio externally, promoting its vision and values within the industry
- Apply a practical, problem-solving approach to complex design challenges
- Travel to project sites across the UK as required
- Work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Key Requirements for this Associate/Associate Director role:
- Minimum 10 years’ industry experience, with a strong portfolio demonstrating a range of projects (schools, industrial or residential experience preferred)
- Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge of all RIBA Work Stages
- A keen interest in high-quality design, detailing, and technical excellence
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant design tools
