Job Description:
Salary – Competitive market rate salary, depending on experience
Hours - Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week between the office and client locations
Holiday – 22 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays)
About the Audit Semi-Senior/ Senior role
Our client the fastest-growing top 20 accountancy firm in the UK. They are business advisors and accountants, with over 30 years of experience.
As an Audit Semi-Senior/ Senior working within their Tamworth office, you will be assisting the partners and managers in the completion of Audit assignments and drafting statutory accounts, either individually or as part of a team to agreed budgets and deadlines. All Audits are allocated to a manager so you will be working with the support and guidance of managers who have been with the firm for many years.
Key responsibilities of an Audit Semi-Senior/ Senior will include:
- Planning audit assignments, identifying key risks, assessing how to test them, assessing and reviewing the budgets through to completing an analytical review
- Leading smaller audits, supervising, delegating and reviewing work of trainees
- Delivering information to clients in a timely manner whilst displaying in-depth client and industry knowledge
- Monitoring your chargeability and your assignment budgets pro-actively
- Developing specialist sector knowledge and keep abreast of industry developments
About you
My client are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience within a practice focusing on SME/ Owner Managed Clients
- Ideally a mixture of Audit/Accountancy/Corporate Tax experience with Audit being essential
- ACA/ ACCA qualified or part qualified
- Familiarity with MyWorkpapers would be advantageous
- Ability to work on assignments either individually or as part of the small team that they have
