Automation Technician

Job Description:

My client is a world leader in designing and manufacturing automated machines for producers of fasteners, engine valves, and other high-performance components.

They are in need ot an Automation Technician with some understanding of either elctrical controls or machinery applications and moving parts such as hydraulics/pneumatics.

Job Responsibilities:

• Programming PLCs, HMI’s and Servo systems (Siemens and Allen Bradley) for bespoke machines.
• Designing Electrical Control Systems.
• Testing, De-bugging, Commissioning and Servicing of Machines.
• Problem Solving both on-site at customers premises and remotely via email / web access.

Experience Required:

• An understanding of Industry 4.0, data collection and transfer, communication protocols etc.
• A highly-organised and tidy work style.
• Willingness to travel overseas for short periods.
• Qualified to Degree level or equivalent in Electrical / Control Engineering.
