Oakham (Training) - Wellingborough (Permanent Site)
£14.00 - £15.00 per hour 
Monday – Friday 6:00am start
8 hour shifts (finish time dependent on workload)
Temporary to Permanent
Immediate Start
 
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Baker with a strong understanding of laminated and enriched doughs. This is a hands-on production role ideal for someone who takes pride in producing high-quality baked goods and thrives in a team-focused bakery environment.
Production is fast-paced, and while shifts are 8 hours, the team works until the day’s production is complete. On busier days, everyone works together to ensure targets are met.
 
Duties

• Preparing laminated and enriched dough products, including pastries and specials
• Managing the full production process from dough preparation to baking
• Working to established recipes and production schedules
• Assessing dough readiness and adjusting processes accordingly
• Supporting stock control and ingredient rotation
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety
• Assisting with routine compliance and safety checks
• Contributing to a positive and efficient production environment

Key Requirements

• Previous experience in a bakery or pastry environment
• Strong practical knowledge of lamination, fermentation, and dough handling
• Confident managing production from preparation through to baking
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high attention to detail
• Physically able to lift heavy dough and ingredient bags
• Team-focused attitude and willingness to support colleagues on busy production days
