Today they operate from a purpose built, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, where they routinely design and develop system solutions for bespoke applications.

They are growing their team and are looking for a proven ‘Business Development Manager – with a technical engineering / technical sales background’ to help drive the company’s global presence.

Business Development Manager Salary and Benefits

• Salary £45,000 - £55,000 
• Performance related bonus
• Company car or car allowance
• Hybrid working – typically three days in the office per week
• Excellent employer pension
• Half day finish on Friday’s

Business Development Manager Essential Candidate Experience

• Proven, demonstrable background in technical engineering, industrial equipment, instrumentation or testing equipment / testing solutions. 
• Business to Business, Technical Sales / Engineering-led background. 
• The ability to understand and discuss complex technical engineering solutions is essential. 
• Commercially astute, with solid negotiation skills.
• Flexible with some travel – this will mainly be across the UK, with the odd European or International trip. 
• Desirable but highly advantageous: experience in Turbomachinery, Aerospace, Defence, Power Generation, Automotive Testing, Couplings, Driveline Systems or Dynamometers. 

Business Development Manager Key Responsibilities (but not limited to)

• The Business Development Manager will drive new business, effectively manage and grow key customer accounts, building strong relationships with engineering and management teams.
• Collaborate with internal engineering/project teams to define requirements and deliver tailored technical solutions.
• Prepare and manage commercial offers, tenders, and technical proposals.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.
• Provide market insights to guide product development, strategy, and identify new opportunities.
