The Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving new business across the Midlands, with a strong focus on apprenticeships. This is a client-facing role where you will identify opportunities, build relationships, and convert leads into long-term partnerships.

Key responsibilities include:

• Proactively generating new business opportunities and expanding the client base
• Building and nurturing relationships with employers across a range of sectors
• Promoting apprenticeship programmes and tailoring solutions to meet client needs
• Managing the full sales cycle from lead generation through to contract closure
• Working closely with internal delivery teams to ensure a seamless client experience
• Keeping up to date with market trends and funding changes within apprenticeships

You’ll be an experienced and well-rounded Business Development professional with a strong background in apprenticeships and a proven ability to win new business.

You will have:

• Demonstrable experience in business development within the apprenticeships sector
• A strong track record of generating and converting new business opportunities
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of employer needs
• The ability to operate as an “all-rounder” in a fast-paced environment
