CAD Designer | Manufacturing Operations
Salary: £35000 - £40,000 DOE
Location: Conveniently located near Hinckley, easily commutable from Leicester, Nuneaton, and surrounding areas.

The role:

Are you a talented and detail-focused CAD Designer looking for your next challenge? My client, an innovative manufacturing business, is seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across the full product lifecycle and contribute to both new product development and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Do:

• Create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks,
• Build and manage product configurations and maintain accurate MRP item data.
• Support cross-functional teams with cost reviews, supplier discussions, and technical issue resolution.
• Complete engineering change requests and participate in check-and-release procedures.
• Contribute to process improvements and product range expansions.

What We’re Looking For:

• Engineering qualification/apprenticeship or equivalent industry experience.
• SolidWorks expertise, with strong knowledge of design for manufacture.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems and product costing.
• High attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and excellent communication skills.
• Organised, adaptable, collaborative, and committed to continuous learning.
