My client is a well-established and growing technical business based in Leicester, operating within a specialist engineering environment. They are currently looking to recruit a skilled CAD Engineer to support the design and development of metal and fabricated components used within a bespoke product range.

This is an excellent opportunity for a CAD Engineer who enjoys detailed design work, working closely with manufacturing, and being part of a close-knit technical team.

The Role – CAD Engineer:

• Producing detailed 2D and 3D drawings as a CAD Engineer
• Designing sheet metal, fabricated, and metal components
• Using SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD for design and modification work
• Creating manufacturing drawings and BOMs
• Supporting engineering and production teams with technical drawings
• Making design amendments based on manufacturing feedback
• Ensuring drawings meet quality and industry standards
• Working collaboratively within an office-based engineering team
• Day shifts, Monday to Friday

Minimum Skills / Experience Required – CAD Engineer:

• Proven experience working as a CAD Engineer or Design Engineer
• Experience using SolidWorks or AutoCAD (either considered)
• Strong background in sheet metal, metalwork, or fabrication design
• Ability to produce accurate manufacturing drawings
• Understanding of fabrication and production processes
• Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
