About the Role: We are looking for a skilled Carpenter to join our Housing Asset Management Team, helping maintain and improve a wide range of Council properties across North West Leicestershire. This is a hands-on role delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance with a focus on safety, efficiency, and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out carpentry repairs and maintenance in domestic Council properties, ensuring all work meets current regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
  
  
• Complete multi-skill tasks in line with the  Multi-Skill Assessment criteria.
  
  
• Use all provided tools, equipment, and materials appropriately and responsibly.
  
  
• Accurately record time, Schedule of Rates (SORs), and materials used via a smart device (PDA).
  
  
• Undertake site surveys to assess required works and materials.
  
  
• Work in coordination with the Asset Management Support Team to schedule and deliver work efficiently.
  
  
• Maintain appropriate levels of van stock to support a ‘Right First Time’ service approach.
  
  
• Provide a high standard of customer service and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
  
  
• Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and regulations, including the correct use of PPE.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven carpentry experience, ideally within social housing or property maintenance.
  
  
• Multi-skilled abilities (e.g. patch plastering, basic plumbing, or tiling) are desirable.
  
  
• Good communication and customer service skills.
  
  
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  
  
• Confident using smart devices to record job data.
  
  
• Full UK driving licence.
