Casting / PU Machine Operatives

Reporting to | Casting Manager

Location | Viva Nylons, Leicester, LE5 0HJ

Hours | Hours of work will be either working the Double Day Shift (06:00 to 14:00 and 14:00 to 22:00 rotating weekly)

The Machine Operative Role:

The successful candidate will safely, effectively and efficiently operate casting machine tools, ensuring the company product lines conform to quality standards whilst maintaining daily production targets

Main Duties of the Machine Operatives:

· To adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures and support in driving a best practice culture

· Operate Nylon & Polyurethane Casting equipment and other auxiliary equipment

· Accurately weigh chemicals and record all relevant process data

· Adhere to process controls

· Diligently follow instructions and adhere to all process controls

· Check & examine product quality identifying any issues

· Correctly and accurately use handheld measuring equipment

· Hit daily production targets

· Keep machine area / work station adopting all 6s procedures

Machine Operatives Experience & Requirements

· Be reliable and hard working

· Excellent attention to detail

· Be able to communicate effectively

· Be able to work with minimal supervision

· Previous experience in a manufacturing environment essential and ideally from a Polymer / Casting / Chemical Background
