£27,000 p.a. pro rata (21 hours per week)

ER Recruitment are happy to support The Bodie Hodges Foundation to recruit a Challenge Event and Community Fundraiser to join their team. The charity provide bereavement services to families bereaved of a child and bring empathy, sensitivity, and heart to everything they do.
Role & Responsibilities of the Challenge Event and Community Fundraiser
- The post holder will ensure that supporters know that the income they raise will make a real difference to our work with families bereaved of a child.
- Assist in the growth of our challenge events portfolio as well as event logistics and stewardship. Have a stewardship focus and put our supporters first when developing supporter journeys or materials.
- Be responsible for end-to-end management of our challenge and running events, dealing with enquiries by telephone, email, and post.
- Engage schools to hold Go Bright For Bodie days, track participation, ensure schools have all the info and resources they need. Create opportunities for soft introductions at new schools.
- Track fundraising income against targets throughout the year.
- Ensure that The Bodie Hodges Foundation is always represented with compassion and professionalism.
- Responsible for sending out thank-you letters, emails, and ongoing supporter communications.
- Support and attend Team Bodie events and community events with the purpose of relationship building, nurturing, and networking.

- Possess excellent communication skills.
- Be organised and have a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Confident in public speaking.
- Communicate in a sensitive way to ensure that our families feel supported and valued.
- Attention to detail.
- Be creative and work to a high standard.
- Enjoy making improvements and have good time management skills.
- Be able to solve problems, be proactive and practical, work under pressure and be able to use own initiative.
- Work as part of a team.
