We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Product Change Control Technician to join out clients dynamic Supply Chain Planning department. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the introduction of new products and managing changes to existing products, ensuring a timely, efficient, and cost-effective implementation process.
Location: Desford, Leicestershire
Contract: Until 31 December 2027
Working Hours: Full-time, 08:00-16:00, Monday to Friday. This role requires working onsite five days a week. There is slight flexibility on start and finish times, with an opportunity for a shorter Friday if hours are made up on other days.
What You Will Do:
Maintain and communicate accurate change management data using an ERP system and a Manufacturing Control System.
Interpret engineering releases and drawings to define change requirements, create item masters, and establish product structures.
Set up and manage Plan for Every Part data.
Coordinate with various teams to ensure the timely procurement, manufacturing, or rework of materials by managing effective dates.
Track the daily progress of materials and documentation to ensure availability aligns with scheduled effective dates.
Lead or support weekly cross-functional meetings to update stakeholders on the status of new and upcoming changes.
Collaborate closely with manufacturing, engineering, logistics, and planning teams to implement changes efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills & experience:
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create weekly dashboards.
A confident communicator, able to lead weekly meetings with a number of stakeholders.
Supply chain experience is highly desirable.
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail when processing large volumes of information.
The ability to apply informed judgement to analyse complex situations and make sound decisions.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to consider multiple stakeholder perspectives to develop practical solutions.
An understanding of basic Manufacturing Requirements Planning concepts, including bills of materials.
Experience using tools such as Power BI or Python to create charts or reports.
