Chef – Further Education College
📍 Location: Loughborough
⏰ Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 7:00am – 3:00pm
📅 Duration: 2–3 months (Temp to Perm option available)
💷 Pay: £13.00-£15.00 Per hour

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Chef to join a busy Further Education College kitchen team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate individual who enjoys working in a vibrant environment and is confident running a commercial kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals for large volumes of students and staff.

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the kitchen.

• Ensure food is cooked and served to a high standard, adhering to dietary and nutritional guidelines.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant kitchen environment in line with food hygiene standards.

• Work collaboratively with the catering team to deliver a smooth and efficient service.

Requirements:

• Minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (essential).

• Experience working in commercial kitchens and preparing food in large quantities.

• A recognised qualification in Catering and Hospitality (desirable).

• Ability to lead a kitchen and work independently.

• Strong understanding of food safety regulations and allergen management.
