About the Role:
Are you passionate about transforming the lives of young people? Amber Mace is seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager for a 5-bed children’s residential home in Loughborough. This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on young people’s lives while leading a committed and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop Comprehensive Care Plans tailored to each young person’s care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic, and health needs.

Build and maintain a high-performing team, supporting recruitment, induction, and staff development to ensure continuity of care.

Implement systems to consult young people about the care they receive and assign Key Workers to implement childcare plans.

Maintain high standards of care in line with National Minimum Standards and the home’s Statement of Purpose.

Handle complaints, child protection concerns, and collaborate with parents, carers, and other professionals.

Participate in care planning and review meetings.

Ensure effective commercial management, maintaining the home within budget while upholding quality standards.

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in residential childcare, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or willingness to start within 6 months.

Strong knowledge of childcare legislation, regulatory requirements, and trauma-informed care.

Excellent planning, organisation, budget management, and team leadership skills.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Full UK driving license.
