Childcare Social Worker – Level 3 (G9) Single Assessment Team (SAT) Leicester City Council

Are you an experienced Childcare Social Worker ready for your next permanent move?

Leicester City Council is recruiting experienced Level 3 Social Workers to join our Children in Need (CIN) and Single Assessment Team (SAT). These permanent Grade 9 roles offer a salary of £42,839–£46,142 plus up to £8,000 relocation support. Sponsorship or transfer of sponsorship is available for eligible candidates.

💼 The Role

• Undertake detailed single assessments for children and families
• Manage referrals and complete face-to-face and virtual visits
• Lead on strategy discussions and Section 47 enquiries
• Participate in duty every 3 weeks, responding to urgent safeguarding matters
• Work closely with Early Help, MST and partner agencies
• Hybrid working – office-based (Leicester) and remote flexibility

✅ What We’re Looking For

• Level 3 Social Worker with Court and Front Door experience
• Strong assessment and safeguarding background
• Confident managing urgent child protection work
• Ability to work both independently and within a close-knit team
• Willingness to be based within the Leicester area (relocation support available)
• Sponsorship / transfer of sponsorship available for eligible candidates
