Senior Support Worker – Children’s Residential Home (Bingham NG13, Nottinghamshire)

• Start Date: ASAP

The client is a small, family-owned residential care provider based in Nottinghamshire, operating nine children’s homes. Recently rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, the client offers a nurturing and therapeutic environment for children aged 5–17 with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).

We are currently seeking a Senior Support Worker to join dedicated team at an established home where 3 children reside. We’re looking for an individual who can act as a therapeutic parent—providing high levels of care, support, and stability to help children achieve outstanding outcomes.

Essential Skills & Experience

Senior Support Worker:

• Minimum 1 year’s experience in residential childcare.
• Level 3 QCF in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – or willingness to work towards.
• Experience with EBD and trauma-informed approaches (PACE/DDP desirable).
• Strong communication and literacy skills.

Training & Development

• Full training provided, 2 week induction and also includes QCF Level 4 and Level 5 qualifications.
• Career progression opportunities to Deputy Manager/Manager roles.
• 1:1 supervision and group sessions with the home’s therapist.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

2 week rolling rota:

• Working Hours Week 1: 2 shifts - 8am-11pm + sleep (23:00 – 07:00) + 7am-11pm + sleep
• Working Hours Week 2: 3 shifts - 8am-11pm + sleep (23:00 – 07:00) + 7am-11pm + sleep + 1 more 7/8am-11pm + sleep either connected or separate from the other two shifts.
