£40,000 - £45,000

My client is a successful, independent engineering consultancy with over 30 years of industry experience, now looking to appoint a Civil Engineer to support continued growth across their UK offices.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established consultancy known for its collaborative culture, technical excellence, and strong project pipeline.

The Role

As a Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of infrastructure projects across sectors including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Producing detailed designs for roads and drainage (SuDS and foul systems)
• Preparing technical drawings and calculations using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar software
• Supporting the delivery of projects from concept through to construction
• Liaising with clients, local authorities, and multidisciplinary teams
• Assisting with planning applications and technical approvals (S38, S278, S104)
• Attending project and design meetings where required

About You

To be considered, you should have:

• A degree (BEng/MEng) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Experience working within a UK consultancy environment
• Strong knowledge of drainage and highway design
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage or similar
• Understanding of UK design standards and approvals process
• Ambition to progress professionally and work towards chartership (if not already achieved)
