Civils Site Engineer

Job Description:

Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for an ambitious Site Engineer on behalf of a thriving civil engineering main contractor to work on a key project in Derby.

A innovative civil engineering contractor with an ever-growing reputation across UK. They deliver various infrastructure projects across Yorkshire, Midlands and surrounding areas to local authorities & other clients. Further projects span from £5m to £100m and include: highways, rail, bridges, flood alleviation etc. A strong ongoing pipeline of work meaning likely longevity past this first project.

The initial project for this Engineer is a £40m scheme in Derbyshire. It is still in its infancy and ramping up fully, will run for 2+ years. The Engineer needed will be predominantly focused on FRC / re-enforced concrete. Will provide opportunities to make use of this contractors tried & tested progression routes & development.

Duties:

• Complex setting out - using relevant kit
• As-built surveys
• QA
• Quality checks of sub-contractors work
• Testing
• Briefing & managing concrete sub-contractors
• Assisting Site Agent with site documentation

Experience required:

• Candidates should have proven experience as Site Engineer within a Civil Engineering setting particularly with FRC / re-enforced concrete works
• Must be fully competent with working as PC and adept with documentation and site engineering processes
• Must have experience with relevant kit: Total Station, Leica, Topcon etc.
• Industry related qualification is beneficial (HNC/HND or Degree).
• Must hold: CSCS card and full driving license.
