Class 1 Driver/Tramper

Job Description:

Accept Recruitment are looking for experienced Class 1 HGV drivers for ongoing work with a well-established transport company operating in the construction and building materials sector.

Start Times: Between 4:00 AM – 6:00 AM

Start Date: Induction on Monday at 6:00 AM (2 hours paid)

Role Overview:

• Vehicles: Class 1 trucks with fridges
• Loads: Flatbed
  • 60% palletised goods.
  • Concrete blocks, bricks, and large irregular-shaped loads.
• Load Security: Must be confident and competent in strapping all types of loads safely and securely.
• Average Workload: 2 deliveries per day.
• Working Hours:
  • Monday to Friday with start times between 4-6am
  • Induction on your first day starting at 6am for 2 hours (paid)
  • No stopping at services unless pre-authorised by the client.
  • Ongoing work – concrete and palletised loads

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years’ Class 1 experience – essential for insurance purposes.
• Good knowledge of load securing and strapping.
• Professional, reliable, and punctual.
• Comfortable with both palletised and irregular loads.

No LTD drivers accepted – PAYE only
