Job Title: HGV Class 1 Shunter (C+E)
Location: Corby
Pay Rate: £16.79 per hour
Shifts: Week 1&2 = Monday to Friday / Week 3 = Sunday to Thursday

Ignition Driver Recruitment are looking for reliable, experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our team and play a vital role in keeping the supply chain moving. We are looking for Shunters in Corby for our client, who is a leading manufacturer of an award winning range of underlays & flooring profiles.

What You'll Do:

• Safely operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles on planned routes between client sites
  • Moving trailers/vehicles on & off bays (double & single deck trailers)
  • Some warehouse duties required on an adhoc basis
    • Lading, unloading, refuelling & vehicle cleaning
• Local collections & deliveries of raw material and finished goods
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and complete relevant paperwork
  • Maintain your terberg in line with DVSA requirements
  • Perform basic repairs and maintenance
  • Defect reporting 
• Organise the yard
  • Perform daily yard checks reporting any defects to the transport office
• Ensure timely and accurate deliveries or collections - communicating with all departments in relation to ETA's

What You Need:

1. A valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
2. At least 2 years Class 1 driving experience 
3. Terberg experience
4. A current UK Driver CPC (DCPC) card
5. A valid Digital Tachograph card
6. Up to 6 points accepted on licence (No DD, DR, CD, TT, IN endorsements)
7. A professional attitude and strong communication skills
8. the ability to prioritise tasks in a timely manner
9. Flexibility when it comes to your working hours to help cover annual leave as and when needed
