CNC Laser Setter/Operator

Job Description:

Salary/Rate: £14ph – £16ph dependent on experience

Working hours: Standard Days, Monday – Friday

Location: Leicester, Leicestershire

Description:

AMLR is working in partnership with a reputable engineering company who are currently recruiting for a skilled and reliable CNC Laser Setter/Operator (Amada Fibre Laser) to join their team.

With a strong reputation in precision sheet metal fabrication, the company is passionate about delivering high-quality, accurate components across a range of industries. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for an experienced operator to secure long-term career growth while working with advanced CNC fibre laser technology.

Due to the nature of the markets our client supplies into, all candidates must be UK residents.

For this CNC Laser Setter/Operator role:

• Proven experience operating CNC laser cutting machines (Amada fibre laser preferred, others considered)

• Ability to set up jobs including selecting cutting programs, adjusting parameters, and changing nozzles/lenses

• Experience working with stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminium

• Able to read and interpret engineering/technical drawings

• Carry out first-off and in-process quality checks using verniers, micrometers, and gauges

• Monitor machine performance and maintain consistent cut quality

Qualifications and Skills:

• A time-served apprenticeship or equivalent City & Guilds/NVQ qualification is desirable

• Relevant training on Amada fibre laser or similar CNC cutting machines advantageous
