CNC Setter/Operator
Leicester, LE4
£14.50 per Hour
We are working with a world-leading engineering company that prides itself on proving the highest quality bespoke products for the heavy plant industry, in the UK and globally. 
We are looking for a CNC Machine Setter/Operator to operate CNC Turning Machines with Fanuc/Mitsubishi controls.
The role will involve setting up the machines for production , making adjustments as required and ensuring quality of products in line with the drawing provided.
 
Day/Hours of Work
Monday – Thursday:14:30pm – 23:00pm
Friday 14:30pm – 20:00pm
 
Rate of Pay: £14.50 per Hour
 
**Temp to Perm Opportunity**
 
The Role:

• Set CNC Turning machines for production and low batch quantities within allocated times
• Make adjustments to the machine settings as required
• Ensure quality expectations, as per drawing and planning are achieved
• Ensure allocated operation times are achieved
• Fill daily activity sheets
• Be aware of and observe personal health and safety, and that of fellow members
• Co-operate with Team Leaders

 
About you:

• Experience of setting and operating CNC Turning machines of all types of materials for at least 4 years
• Must be conversant with Fanuc/Mitsubishi controls to make routine adjustments
• Must be competent in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Must be conversant with the use of inspection instruments, to measure diameter, surface texture, roundness, concentricity etc

• Ideally apprentice served in a machining discipline

• Knowledge of good machine working practices
• Good knowledge of the English language, to comprehend health and safety instructions/ training
• Good overall health and fitness
