CNC Mill/Turn - Setter, Operator

JRS Associates have partnered up with an exciting aerospace precision engineering company in Leicester to offer a fantastic opportunity for an experienced CNC Mill-Turn Setter/Operator to join the night shift team.

This is a great opportunity to join a highly regarded precision manufacturer supplying complex, tight-tolerance components to the aerospace and defence sectors.

The Successful CNC Mill-Turn Setter/Operator – Package:

• Salary: £54,818.81 per annum (inclusive of shift allowance)

• Shift Pattern: 46.4 hours per week – Monday to Thursday, 18:00–06:00

  • 20-minute unpaid break at 00:00

  • 10-minute paid break (time to be agreed with Line Manager)

• Permanent, full-time position

The Successful CNC Mill-Turn Setter/Operator – Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience within aerospace or automotive precision machining

• Apprentice trained or equivalent hands-on engineering background

• Confident in setting and operating 3–5 Axis CNC Mill-Turn machines

• Ability to read, edit, and control CNC programs in line with company procedures

• Strong understanding of datum setting, tool offsets, and process parameters

• Skilled in the use of measuring equipment – micrometers, verniers, height gauges, CMMs, shadow graphs, etc.

• Proven track record of producing high-quality, tight-tolerance components

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

• Positive, team-oriented attitude and ability to work to structured manufacturing plans

• Experience performing Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) duties desirable
