Location: Leicestershire, LE4 (Commutable from Leicester, Loughborough, Melton Mowbray, and surrounding areas)
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Shift / Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5pm or rotating shift (AM and PM)

The Role
As a CNC Miller Programmer (Offline), you will develop and optimise CNC milling programs using advanced CAD/CAM software such as Edgecam, Hypermill, or Fusion 360. Working closely with engineers and machinists, you'll create efficient, high-precision programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machines, ensuring production quality, efficiency, and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimise CNC milling programs using CAD/CAM software
- Interpret detailed engineering drawings and 3D models to plan machining strategies and tooling
- Select cutting tools, feeds, and speeds to achieve precision tolerances and finishes
- Create, simulate, and optimise programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC milling machines
- Support machinists during program prove-outs, resolving issues and refining processes
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce cycle times and material waste
- Maintain program files, tooling libraries, and setup documentation
- Troubleshoot programming or machining challenges and provide technical support
- Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
About You:
- Proven experience programming CNC milling machines offline
- Skilled with CAD/CAM software such as Edgecam, Hypermill, or Fusion 360
- Strong understanding of 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machining principles
- Confident interpreting detailed engineering drawings and 3D models
- Knowledge of tooling, feeds, speeds, and machining strategies for tight tolerances
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Methodical and detail-oriented approach
- Experience in precision industries such as aerospace, automotive, or specialist manufacturing is advantageous
