Location: Derby
Salary: £14- £18 (depending on experience)

Hours of work: Standard Days

Job Type: Temp-Perm

Are you an experienced CNC Miller looking to join an experience engineering company that offers a high quality, price competitive sub-contract Machining, Fabrication, Welding & Proof Load Testing services to a large number of prestige engineering clients worldwide. 

Based in Derby, they produce precision components in a wide range of materials and sizes – all controlled by our quality management system approved to ISO 9001:2015 standards. Their ethos is to help your business perform well and to that end, we have the capability and capacity to provide you with large production volumes and one-off prototypes in very competitive lead times and at very competitive prices.

Key Responsibilities for the CNC Miller:

• Conversant with Fanuc control panels
• Must be able set and operate (programming advantageous)
• 3, 4 and 5 axis machining
• Working on small batch work
• Working to tight tolerances
• Must be able to inspect own work
• Experience working with various materials such as stainless and mils steel, aluminium and titanium
• Follow all health and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements for the CNC Miller:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in CNC milling
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent attention to detail.
• Experience in using a wide range of measuring and inspection tools.
• Background in working to tight tolerances and quality control processes.
• Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Recognized engineering apprenticeship, NVQ, or equivalent qualification is beneficial.
