Job Opportunity: CNC Milling Machine Operators
Positions Available: (Day Shift)
Type: Temporary to Permanent (Immediate Start)
Pay: £14 per hour
Working Hours
- Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
- Flexible start times: 6:00am, 6:30am, or 7:00am
- Friday: 7:30am – 12:30pm
- Flexible start times: 6:00am, 6:30am, or 7:00am
Key Responsibilities & Skills
As a CNC Milling Operator, you will demonstrate:
- Engineering Drawing Interpretation – Independently identify and apply all critical requirements to produce conforming parts. Training will be given.
- Tool Change Proficiency – Recognise when tool changes are required and execute them effectively during batch runs.
- Offset Adjustment – Confidently change offsets throughout production to maintain efficiency and accuracy.
- In-Process Inspection – Use measuring equipment correctly and interpret CMM reports against ballooned drawings.
- Attention to Detail – Conduct visual inspections of every machined part to ensure it is free from burrs, scratches, or chatter marks.
Career Development
Operators can advance through three structured job groups:
- Operator Job Group
- Setter/Operator Job Group → Progression to Senior Setter/Operator
- Programmer/Setter Job Group → Progression to Machining Technical Lead
