Job Description:

Empowered Personnel is currently recruiting for a Time Served CNC Turner based in Hinckley.

Job Title: Time Served CNC Turner
Hours: 37 hours per week – 4 days (rotating shifts, fortnightly)
Duration: Permanent Role
• Shift 1: 6:00am – 3:45pm
• Shift 2: 3:45pm – 1:30am

Salary & Benefits:

• £41,864 – £44,713 per annum (including 21% shift allowance)
• Overtime available – average earnings over £50,000 per annum
• Hourly rate: £17.19 – £18.36
• Shift allowance: £676.22 – £722.59 per month

Time Served CNC Turner Main Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC Turning machines as a Skilled CNC Turner Time-Served Setter and Operator to meet production
schedules and customer specifications.
• Set tools, adjust offsets, and ensure machines run to optimum performance.
• Edit CNC programs (Fanuc / Siemens operating systems).
• Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
• Use inspection equipment and self-inspect work to maintain accuracy and quality.
• Perform basic machine maintenance (T.P.M).
• Safely handle components, jigs, and fixtures.
• Raise P.I.R.’s when required.
• Maintain 5S standards within the working area.
• Work independently with a strong focus on quality and efficiency.

Time Served CNC Turner Candidate Requirements:

• Time-served CNC turner apprenticeship (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Skilled CNC Turner Time-Served Setter and Operator.
• Strong knowledge of Fanuc and/or Siemens CNC controls.
• Precision machining experience, working to tight tolerances.
• Proactive, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
