Commercial Gas Engineer – Central Region

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join an established and growing service team covering the Central region. This is a long-term role focused mainly on servicing and maintenance, with realistic travel, solid earnings and a fair call-out rota.

Pay & Benefits

• Average of around 3 call-outs per week
• Minimum 4-hour call-out payment at the appropriate rate

The Role

The role involves working across a wide range of commercial and industrial sites including hospitals, offices, retail premises, health clubs, railway depots and racecourses. Contracts include major FM providers such as CBRE, ISS, Mitie and OCS.

Work is mainly on:

• Commercial and industrial boilers
• Radiant tube heaters
• Warm air heaters
• Burners
• Light commercial boilers
• Some domestic boilers
• Testing and purging

The role is predominantly servicing and maintenance, with some minor installation works. Approximately 25% of the workload will involve assisting with water and legionella compliance works to support ongoing business growth.

Area Covered

The role covers Leeds down to East Anglia. Engineers are kept within their region wherever possible, typically no more than two hours’ travel from home.

Call-out coverage, when on rota, runs from Newcastle to Birmingham.
