Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial Kitchen Installation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the assembly and installation of various stainless-steel equipment and components, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Due to the nature of the works, you will be required to stay away frequently as necessitated by the business. you will be provided with a nightly allowance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and install equipment according to specifications and CAD drawings.
- Plumb systems and ensure proper alignment and functionality.
- Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during installations.
- Tig Weld components where necessary, ensuring strong and durable connections.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment as required.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times.
- Drive commercial vehicles to transport equipment and materials to job sites when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Production of professional daily site reports.
Working Hours:
Typically Monday to Friday including days and nights, with occasional weekend work.
Location:
Various client sites; travel and overnight stays required.
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Proven experience installing commercial kitchens or industrial catering equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical CAD drawings and plans
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in construction/installation environments
- Full UK driving licence
- Good communication and teamworking skills
- Physically fit and capable of lifting and handling equipment safelys
Desirable:
- Plumbing experience, including connecting sinks, dishwashers, and waste lines
- Welding or fabrication experience (especially TIG on stainless steel)
- Gas Safe Registration or willingness to obtain it
- CSCS card or equivalent site safety certification
- NVQ Level 2 or higher in a relevant trade (plumbing, engineering, or construction)
