Commodity Manager - Aerospace

Job Description:

Commodity Manager – Aerospace, LE67, Leicestershire.  £55,000 + Annual Bonus

• Commodity Manager, Commodity Buyer, Strategic Buyer, Sourcing Manager, Sourcing Lead or similar.  To manage and lead the strategic material sourcing of a fast paced and dynamic multinational business.
• Working for a commercially astute business where procurement is an essential function and already a very efficient department.  This is ideal for someone looking to enhance their purchasing career and to progress into a more strategic role within a very progressive organisation (plenty of headroom to further develop).
• Working within the Aerospace sector, ideally you will have some experience in this industry, sourcing engineered components and commodities.
• Are you a Commodity Buyer / Strategic Buyer who wants to work in an agile, medium sized engineering company with excellent career progression?  Are you looking to progress your purchasing career within a more strategic route based in the Leicester, Hinckley, Coalville, Bardon Hill, Ashby de la Zouch, Loughborough, Tamworth areas?

This Commodity Manager job will suit:

• A Strategic Buyer, Commodity Manager, Commodity Buyer or a more Operational Buyer looking to move into a more strategic role.
• Ideally experience of working within the Aerospace sector, dealing with Aerospace manufacturing businesses, suppliers or working within the manufacturing industry.
• You will be pro-active, upbeat and want an exciting challenge. Someone looking to develop and progress their purchasing career into a more senior role.
• Ideally used to dealing with a high level of SKU’s, high volumes, in a fast paced environment.
• Supplier management will be a crucial part of the role, this will focus on sourcing and selecting key suppliers. 
• Good communication skills, able to deal with a wide range of stakeholders effectively.
• Excellent IT skills / Very Analytical – Ideally any Excel & spreadsheet knowledge (Pivot table / VLOOKUPS).  If you are analytical and like to manage data this will be a well suited role.
• You should be ambitious and want to progress your career. You will be pro-active and want a diverse role.
• Based locally to Bardon Hill LE67 and happy with some travel (a couple of international trips throughout the year).
