
About the Role
We are working in partnership with Nottingham College to recruit a Communication Support Worker (CSW) to support Deaf and hearing-impaired learners within a further education setting. The successful candidate will provide in-class and on-campus communication support using British Sign Language (BSL), enabling learners to fully access their education.
Key Responsibilities
Provide communication support to learners using British Sign Language (BSL)
Support learners during lessons, tutorials and college activities
Facilitate clear communication between learners, teaching staff and peers
Promote inclusion, independence and equal access to learning
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
Essential Requirements
BSL qualification at Level 2 (minimum)
Experience supporting Deaf or hearing-impaired learners (education setting preferred)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable, punctual and committed to supporting learner progress
Working Hours (to be covered)
Monday: AM & PM
Tuesday: AM & PM
Wednesday: AM (2 sessions)
Thursday: AM & PM
