Configuration Support Engineer
Location: Desford, Leicestershire
Rate: £30 p/h Umbrella OR £22.50 PAYE p/h
Duration: 2 years (Possible extension)
 
As Configuration Support Engineer you will help manage both current and new product configurations for CWL and BHL machines. You will maintain engineering master models and machine bills of material (BoMs), ensuring everything is up to date and aligned with product design changes. You will work closely with a technical team at our Desford site and develop a solid understanding of our product portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
As a Configuration Support Engineer, your tasks will include:

• Reviewing engineering change data and documentation to ensure compliance with internal change management processes.
• Coordinating product changes with teams across engineering, sales, marketing, supply chain, and manufacturing.
• Creating and updating configuration documentation to support product development.
• Supporting machine product groups in improving engineering systems and processes.

Requirements

• Change Control: Understanding of how changes are identified, evaluated, approved, tracked, and implemented.
• Engineering Tools: Experience using Teamcenter (engineering data management system) and Creo (3D CAD software).
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and precision in your work.
• Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyse problems and develop effective, alternative solutions.
• Multi-tasking: Skilled at managing multiple priorities and making effective judgments under pressure.
