Construction Estimator - Earthworks

Are you an experienced Construction Estimator with a background working on earthworks projects?

Approach Personnel are proud to be partnered with an industry-leading, earthworks contractor, who are currently searching for an Estimator to join them on a permanent basis. As an Estimator, you will play a vital role in the commercial success the business, accurately calculating the budget for each project and negotiating with suppliers and gain quotes from subcontractors.

What are we looking for?

• Prior experience as an Estimator within the earthworks industry
• Excellent commercial knowledge and attention to detail
• Strong communciation and negotiation skills
• Full UK's driving license

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify scope of work, constraints, site conditions, and potential risks
• Measure and calculate quantities of earth to be excavated, filled, hauled, compacted, or stockpiled.
• Develop cost breakdowns of: labour, subcontractor costs, materials etc..
• Apply contingencies or risk pricing where needed
• Compile and format final tender submissions.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather additional insights
