We have an incredible opportunity for a Construction Secretary to join our East Midlands region at Bloor Homes, based at our office in Hinckley, Leicestershire. A crucial piece of the business puzzle, the Construction Secretary plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Construction Department. A real team player with proven administrative experience in a fast-paced office environment, you’ll be working at the heart of a busy team where no two days are the same. In this varied and rewarding role, you’ll provide high-quality administrative support and will possess excellent communication, IT skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting the Construction Director with diary management, correspondence, minute-taking, and travel arrangements.
• Managing construction admin including filing, uniform records, and claims.
• Coordinating site resources such as stationery, PPE, and signage.
• Maintaining and updating databases, including Sitestream.
• Producing reports and information packs.
• Assisting other secretaries and reception as needed.
• Attending meetings and ensuring accurate documentation.
• Upholding company policies and contributing to a flexible, team-oriented environment.

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience in an administration role (ideally within the construction industry)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organised with the ability to manage your own time effectively, meeting any deadlines set
• Computer literate with proficiency in Excel, Word & database packages
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills as you will be supporting the construction department at varying seniority levels
• High levels of accuracy with good attention to detail
