As a Continuous Improvement Manager, you will partner with operational leaders to drive the Manufacturing Excellence strategy across a fast‑paced food manufacturing site. You will bring expert knowledge in lean methodology, problem‑solving, data analysis, and project leadership to identify improvement opportunities, build capability, and deliver transformational change across labour efficiency, materials usage, operational performance, and culture.

Description
- Ensure all CI projects maintain full compliance with H&S, food safety, environmental standards, and risk assessments.
- Promote safe behaviours and challenge unsafe practice.
- Partner with Technical, Engineering, and Hygiene teams to ensure food safety through every project stage.
- Act as a role model for values and culture, promoting a people‑first approach.
- Build strong working relationships across shifts, teams, and departments.
- Promote personal and team development, encouraging learning, growth, and continuous improvement.
- Lead action plans aligned to the Manufacturing Excellence roadmap.
- Conduct CI maturity assessments to inform multi‑year improvement plans.
- Analyse materials performance data to identify waste, inefficiency, and improvement opportunities.
- Coach teams in labour efficiency, line balancing, and labour management practices.
- Implement effective tiered meeting structures and behavioural standards.
- Scope and deliver CI projects using advanced problem‑solving tools, process mapping, and value‑stream analysis.
- Lead multi‑functional teams, ensuring strong stakeholder engagement, clear plans, and risk management.
- Track benefits, embed improvements, and ensure long‑term sustainability.
- Prioritise colleague wellbeing while delivering operational efficiency.
- Train, coach, and mentor teams in CI tools, root‑cause analysis, data interpretation, and structured improvement methodologies.
- Adapt coaching style to audience and develop capability at all levels of the operation.
- Build inclusive, high‑performing teams with clear development pathways.
- Manage ER issues fairly and promptly.
- Support attendance management and workplace wellbeing.
- Drive succession planning, capability development, and performance improvement.
